Story

Timid and withdrawn though he is, the young computer engineer, who is tastelessly clothed with plain eyeglasses, happens to save a pretty young lady from a wild middle-aged molester in the train. Her thankful message reaches him by email with a set of Hermes teacups. Without knowing how to ask for a date to the lady whom he has fallen in love with at first sight, because he has never had a girlfriend or received a gift from a girl in his life, he asks his friends on the Internet Relay Chat system for advice: “Where shall I take her for lunch?”
Deeply interested in his first love, his IRC pals eagerly give him a lot of information and advice from time to time. They are bachelors and spinsters seeking love themselves, such as a nurse who has just lost her love and a trio of hopeless dreamers who have never gained love. They are worried about the miraculous romance of Train Man, as they call him so, as if it were their own. Encouraged by their support, he successfully makes a date with the lady he calls Hermes. To change his appearance, he buys new clothes and contact lenses, wondering if she can recognize him who now looks like a different man.
However, in comparison with her sophisticated manners, for she is an elite businesswoman, he looks awkward and uneasy. Nevertheless, his naivety touches her heart, and she agrees to become his steady. Their association seems to go well, but an accident interrupts their date for dinner. He hurriedly asks his IRC pals for advice, but to no avail. He realizes he is no match for her. He tells her that they should part, though he loves her so much. She agrees, but then love has already found its place in her heart. Are they destined to be separated? Or, will they…
